In our 5 Questions to… series, we would like you to get to know our athletes better. Therefore we ask them questions about their person, sport and our partnership. This time it’s Patrick Treiber’s turn. He is a Box-Owner and Crossfit athlete.

In 2015, 26-year-old Patrick Treiber, first came into contact with CrossFit. The trend sport from the USA quickly became a matter of the heart for him. In the meantime, the trained fitness economist is the owner of CrossFit Treibstoff in Sinsheim and also a CrossFit athlete himself.

What is your biggest success so far?

This was most recently the participation in the semifinals of the Crossfit Games. And the highlight was definitely the fourth event – the snatch workout. We had transformed one half of the gym into a sort of “Competition Lane”. And there were about 40 spectators who made a great atmosphere. At a lift event, it’s always great to be cheered on.

What are your personal goals?

My private goals are planning to have a family in the future and to grow my business CrossFit Treibstoff. Since the box was founded in 2018 and there have been two lockdowns due to covid-19 since then, I would like to get more members and become bigger.

What is your favorite exercise?

My favorite lift is definitely the snatch. It is technically very demanding. But once you’ve got the technique down, it’s always more fun. As time went on, it became my favorite thing to snatch. My one rep max in the snatch is now at 118kg.

What do you think about before a heavy lift?

That’s when I try to focus on the individual movements of the lift and remember the technical sequences again before I get to the barbell. Then I start lifting.

What is your favorite product from the Weightlifting Shop?

This is clearly the “RHINOC Sport All Purpose Cleaner”. It perfectly cleans the gym floor from magnesia and sweat.
