NIKE Metcon 7 THE REVOLUTION IN FITNESS AND TRAINING SHOES

NIKE has invested a lot of time in the research and development of the NIKE Metcon 7. The goal was clearly to bring the best shoe for crosstraining and functional fitness to the market.

New materials were developed, motion simulations were carried out and new components were designed on the basis of the findings. NIKE wants to provide fitness athletes with the best possible shoe aligned with the current needs and requirements in cross-training. Because WOD’s are becoming more dynamic, endurance components are steadily increasing, yet weightlifting continues to demand a lot from athletes.

In the left insole of the Launch models (CZ8281-005 and CZ8280-515) the functions of the different shoe components from 001 to 010 are listed, so that you as an athlete can get an overview of the versatility of the NIKE Metcon 7.

001 – SQUAT

The two previous models Metcon 5 and 6 included the Hyperlift heel, an insole for the heel that could be put in during exercises such as squats to achieve a minimal heel increase. This sole is now omitted, as the rear part of the shoe has been completely redesigned. The heel is now wider and flatter due to the built-in inner plate, which distributes the weight evenly, even more stable. In addition, it is designed flexibly, so that it is comfortable even at cardio intervals. The permanently installed Hyperlift part ensures a slight increase (+4mm) of the heel.

002 – RUN

Another major innovation of the NIKE Metcon 7 is the React foam in the midsole. It was taken over by the NIKE Metcon React Turbo and is intended to provide sufficient damping and more suspension during running and jumping-heavy workouts.

003 – PUSHUP

The handstand clip on the heel has been improved and minimized like the previous models friction during exercises on the wall.

004 – CLIMB

Of course, rope climbing was also thought of and so it is not surprising that the rubber part on the foot arch on the inside of the shoe was enlarged and materially improved again. The Metcon 7 thus offers increased grip compared to the Metcon 5 and 6.

005 – STICK

In the same course, the rubber profile of the outsole was redesigned. It now provides even more traction on rubber floor or asphalt.

006 – STABILITY

Flywire fibers integrated into the lacing system guarantee a secure hold in the midfoot area

007 – COMFORT

The inside is lined with soft fabric to prevent chafing or blistering, especially around the Achilles.

008 – LACE

Another new feature offers a hook and loop, which is intended to secure the laces. Here, the feedback of numerous athletes was also taken into account, for whom the shoelaces were now and then in the way when jumping rope.

009 – BREATHABILITY

Lightweight mesh with textured covers in heavily stressed areas keeps your foot cool without compromising durability
